OT: cat fishing rend

trot lineing for cats saturday night. Any hints or hot areas

didnt get out untill 9:30 am waiting for the storm. Still caught 2 nice ones on shrimp

Hey SI, I didnt see this post early enough to let you know where the cats are being caught before you went. I don't fish for cats but I can tell you this. We have been catching several very nice ones on crappie poles in the buck brush shallow. If I were going to put out any lines I would run them along the bank in about three feet of water. Run them along the buck brush and willows. I think you could catch more than you want.

yeah i would love to set them that shallow but they would get cut and torn up. I put alot of time in makeing them and i would hate to lose them. So we keep them just of the banks in 5 or 6 feet, then go pole and line fishing in the shalower areas before it gets to dark. Thanks for the info.
