    Default Went for River Crappie

Went to the Niangua and looked to find some crappie headed towards a spring I know of. Didn't find one crappie but the Warmouths or the Goggle eye were biting nicely. Caught a couple of limits of Goggies and this decent smalley. Hopefully the Crappie move in there soon.

I dont mind eating goggle eye's there smaller than crappie but taste just as good. They also fight nicely.

Nice Danny W! Do you catch any crappie up in the niangua before? I never have and was curious cuz I live right up the road from it. I know you can catch some good walleyes up there to if u time it right.

Fun report, something out of the ordinary which is nice to see. Reminds of a spring hole on the Gasconade from my past wonderings, would draw goggleye during the winter and provided a nice cold weather outing from time to time. That brownie is one to be proud of, they exist in a delicate balance and are susceptible in fragile river systems, hope it's still swimming.
