Default When will it be trolling time again?

Was just wondering when the fish move back to deep water after the spawn?
And what depth should they be at then? I know everything else has not been right this year.
So looking forward to hot weather and the fish being back to normal.

I catch fish shallow year around (less than 8 ft). You just have to find where the baitfish are hanging out.

Shallow year round here too. However, we do troll for them when it gets hot.
Which is most of the year. June, July and August is good for trolling where I fish in South Louisiana.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

Thanks guys. Callshy is there any kind of bank you look for? Or are you catching them off flats?
Guess I will have to learn a lot more. Last summer in august 100 degrees we were catching ours in 20ft of water holding in 12 to 15 ft. Caught some nice ones.
This will be year number 2 for me. So I hope in a few more years I can learn how to catch them year around.
Also I sure think I will like the rod holders.

Deacon how deep are you trolling in the hot weather?

I have been dragging a crank this week but no crappie on it yet. Just green carp. I plan to start pulling 2 today. Some bass guys have caught a few on cranks this month and you swear by them so I plan to work with them a bit. I have not landed a 3 pounder in 2006 so maybe the cranks will bring me one.

Shiloh> Any time is trolling time. I believe you can catch fish any day or night trolling. I ain't saying it will catch more crappie, but trolling will catch them year round. Even during the spawn.
