Wife just came in with a new Rod for me , a new st. Croix premier/ ps70ulf2, 2p 7ft, ultra-lite power/ fast action , boy does it feel great !!!!!,and made in good old USA !!!!!1, Any of you guys use one like this one ? can"t wait to try it out . got a small pflueger president spinning reel out in the boat barn to go on it, I think it will be just right For jigging one handed for awhile and not get too tiring on this old man :o

    Congrats on the new rod.

I have two Premiers, a 5' UL and a 6' medium. Yes, they're nice rods. Check out the Avids. They're even nicer.

I think anyone with a wife who would buy him a St. Croix is a darn lucky dude.

Yes I have heard the Avids are real nice but dont't have a place close to pick one up and handle, Had looked at the Premier"s before X-mas at Gander-Mtn. in Huntsville, and Wife was with me so she got that one , anyway the Avids are about $100 more and not sure they are that much better ???? , Thanks

Nothing in the world like a fine rod, except a fine wife who buys me that rod....unfortunately I don't have either..lol

Whats the going rate on a "fine rod"......I'm almost certain that they would be somewhat cheaper than marrying? But for a fine rod,,I might consider it..lol

I vertical jig with the same rod, but in a light action. That is, unless my wife is with me, then she snags it. You'll enjoy the weight and sensitivity.

I also got one of those for Christmas and can't wait to try it out. I may not catch any more fish with it, but I'll look good doing, or not doing it
St. Croix Premier 6' lite fast action with President reel great combo.
