Kapowsin Lake Report
Well decided to hit Kapowsin with my pontoon ..... there was only one other boat on the water and 3 guys fishing from the dock at ericsons. rowed staight across to the island and started throughing little spinners and bang a nice little large mouth about 3/4 pounds nothing for awhile so I put on a crawdad plug and let out about 60 feet of line and just started rowing got 2 trout 1 about 10 inches and the other about 16...... then I found a big row of stumps sticking out of the water and started casting the plug in between them and found me a nice little 1/2 pound rock bass. Then I let the line back out and started rowing again heading for the back side of the island got 2 hits but missed them then the wind picked up a little so I started twords ericsons and just as I was about 10 feet from the pull out ........ boy did the wind really start kicking !!!! Glad I wasnt on the other side of the lake!
The wdfw is working on the new launch too!!!
To fish or not to fish ...... how can that even be a queston:D

Thanks for the report Keith. Kapowsin has to be the one of the best warmwater lakes on the westside. Were there any pads coming up yet? I can't wait until that launch is in place. They say they're going to add a loading float as well.
We used to call it "Deadmans" lake from all the guys that have lost their lives out there.

good report keith. did you see any perch being caught? last time i was there the owners said it needed to warm up a bit. and it has done that :D

man i still need to get my first warmwater species of the year. all i have in my fishing log so far is trout. nice job gettin into a bass, sounds like that is a pretty nice lake except for all the people that die out there.

SlabKing ..... yep the pads are just starting to break the surface!
As for the perch I didnt get any ..... but I really didnt target them and the owners didnt say anything about any being caught ........ she said trout were comeing off the dock and from boats and a few bass had been caught in the last few days one going 3lbs! and a 2lber off the dock!
