    Take em to church...

And take em fishing with Dad and PaPaw...

Even if they don't learn much, they'll love tagging along with the grown-ups, chasing after big crappie, and feeling loved...

Thats a good post! I have seen that same scene with my two boys many times! Had to wake my youngest boy up to kill his first buck.....wouldn't trade those memories for nothing!

I couldn't have said it better. I was given 2 girls and they got to do all the things that I love. They now (27 and 29) laugh at how the other girls don't know squat. I'm a very lucky man.

Time, patience and love are all things cheap to give away to our kids and grandkids, but they last a lifetime!

I sure wish I could sleep like that. Love the post. The one on the boat is too cute.

    Great post.

I gave up a high powered career and life style to spend time with my kids and I have NO regrets.
I would spend both weeks of my vacation going on Boy Scout summer camp and high adventure with my sons. Taught them how to hunt & fish, and what it feels like to kill another of Gods creatures. My oldest son said it best the day he graduated from Law School. "Dad, I dont want to live in the big city and work 60-80hrs a week, I want to be home with my kids like you did with us". I'm proud of both my sons and tell them that every chance I get.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!

Great post, it brought back memories of taking my Son squirrel when he was 5. The only time I killed a squirrel is when he fell asleep while we were still hunting. He's 38 now and sometimes I wish he was 5 again
