Well bud I'm no expert by any means but when I'm fishing clear water a simple Coleman lantern does the trick. I use a green sink light for muddy water and hang it about a foot below the depth I'm fishing. Hope this helps and if I'm doing it wrong someone please let me know.

Check out LED Dock Lights- Fishing Lights- Flounder Lights . I have the aqua star high intensity green led in a 9 inch. one of serveral models they offer. These are super bright and in my opinion the best lights I have every used. They have to be submerged the entire time you have them lit as they are water cooled. A little pricey but worth every penny. ( mine was 69$ ) Good customer service and fast shipping.
