It is still early in the year but this beauty will be hard to top.

This is my son holding a 13 incher on the right and a 16 1/2 inch on the left.

Found some fish holding off structure and made a pass over it and picked up both of the biggest fish of the day off it. I never caught another fish off that structure.
I released the ole gal back into the lake with several people telling me tha I was crazy. I just couldn't bring myself to put the knife to her.

Great trip and a good day with the munchkin. Thanks for throwing her back, and I know that I'm in a minority. Just can't grow big fish from small fish genetics.

Great day! Great pic ( You should submit to Slab if he does a 2013 Calendar) and fantastic management for that young man to enjoy as he gets older.

TNVol, the lake is Tellico, the bait is my hand tied flies in a blue and a red. The secret are these.

I am not bragging but, talking to people at the ramp and on the lake everyone seems to be catching only a few keepers. Just today I went past two guys and they said "man what are you using? We only have 1 keeper and we've saw you put over 10 in the livewell." To be honest I don't really know why I'm doing better than some others are but, I am finding structure and slow trolling over only that structure.

My son is the best fishing partner that I've ever had. As long as I bring a cooler full of food. LOL!!!
