Did everyone quit fishin in Va?

I'm still fishing, just not catching enough to report about it. I went to Beaverdam yesterday afternoon and caught about a dozen crappie and three nice bass. The biggest crappie was 13 inches. Water temperature was 54 in the south end and 52 in the north end. The crappie were caught in 20 feet of water near the bottom on the south end. The bass were caught in 10 feet or water about 2/3 of the way to the north end of the reservoir.

As I was leaving just before dark, there were many fish breaking in shallow water where the weeds come to within 1-2 feet of the surface near the ramp. I did not have enough time to stop and see if they would take a jig.
