Size: 31.5 KBI decided to balltle the elements today and try my luck on the dam at Melvern....I was lookin' for a black dog, but never saw the first pooch.....hopin' I'd come across Springhill wannabe so I could get me a pack of crackers, and that didn't work either...if anybody stayed home to do yardwork, they must be a 'moron'.....the lake was like glass almost all day....Iwas fishin' in a t-shirt by 11;00am....had a great time...didn't kill 'em...but based on my skill level I'd say I did ok:o cleaned 10 nice ones ..threw back a couple 10.5's early and couldn't fill a limit later... fished in and around brush in 24' to 32' of water....caught a couple small ones on pink, pink, and chartreuse hair jig, but the color almost all the keepers hit was black head, grey chenile, and black tail....fished double rig and the black was really all they wanted...had fun...hope you enjoy the photos

WTG. Good picturess of how camera perspective can make the same fish look so different. About time you caught a fish you actually found yourself.
“There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide.” Ayn Rand

hc-great pic, nice fishes, awesome day on smooth water (not many of those in Ks.) nice report tks.

My son and I hit Hargis Ck down this way about 3 hrs., first time out this winter for the old man.
What an awesome day on the water even tho we got the skunk, not one bump . . . used small plastics and different colors . . . and the small water scamp boat leaks. Give me something to do if the weather holds . . . sounds like might get rougher this week end. Nice while lasted . . . one day closer to spring.
