I have fished one in the past but none this year,it is a great organization and is definatly worth your time to go to the weigh in they dont have booths set up but the fishermen will talk freely with you and always talk about techniques during the weigh in,a person can learn a bunch just by listening.

I fish the Crappie USA Tournaments and the weigh ins are good learning tools. You can find out what the leaders were doing different. Get some depths and colors. It's good information.

Yes, fished the one at LOZ this past weekend and plan on fishing Twain and Truman and hopefully make the championship on saturday. Yes you can learn somethings, no one will tell you exactly everything. But will help with a few pieces of the puzzle. There are a few booths usually set up, friday night during the seminar, which are open to the public. With sponsers showing off there products. The seminar is at Cannon Dam Opry at the Junction of 19 & 54.

Additional note on the seminar, they are mostly just to thank the sponsers and go over the rules. There are not a true seminar on how and where to catch crappie.
