Cool What is the best lake you have ever fished for Crappie ?

What is the best lake you have ever fished for Crappie?

I live next to Kentucky Lake, so I would probably say Kentucky Lake.

Lake Guntersville, in Alabama has been good to me for Bass, and Crappie also.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.

I live in an Outdoor Paradise

You're going to LOVE this one.....

Mark Twain Lake in Missouri is the best lake I've ever fished for crappie. Why? Because I've lived 20 miles away since it was first opened and have never bothered to fish for crappie anywhere else. What am I missing?? lol.

Actually I have an invite to fish Sardis this spring....haven't made up my mind yet. Would you go??

Grenada for shear size, Sardis for a combo of size and numbers. Besides those there are many lakes in MS that would be considered world class.

Absolutely yes on Sardis!!! Several of my friends catch some of the largest white crappie I have ever seen at Sardis! 3 pounders are fairly regular.

Lake Oconee and Lake Blackshear in Georgia are two great lakes.

I guess it would have to be the only lake I've ever fished for crappie. It's a private lake that is a 2-minute drive or 5-minute walk from my front door. 100-acres that regularly gives up 13-15" crappie (along with 13" perch, 18" bass and 36" northern pike. I like to catch crappie because they taste best, but I get a kick out of catching any fish. If that makes me a blasphemer, so be it.
