    Default Ultralite Rod

What are your thoughts on using a 7' 6" ultralite rod for vertical jigging? I use up to a 1/4 oz jig.

I have a BPS 7'6" Micro Lite rod that I've sucessfully used for vertical jigging for several years. I don't use jigs that large but when I fish a jig and minnow combo I guess the weight is getting up toward 1/4 oz. That size jig shouldn't be a problem.

I bought two BPS Micro Lites and absolutely love them.
I honestly don't have cons about them.

I bought mine on sale about five years ago and love it. It's one of my main weapons. It's a perfect length. When I get tired of fishing with the 9 and 10 footers I always get out the 7.5' Micro Lite. I think they're like 29 bucks right now and to me well worth the price. I may buy another one for a backup.

UL. It's very sensitive. You can feel a minnow squirm with this rod and 4 lb. test.

The Micro Lite rod at BPS is great. It also comes as an 8.5' length. Works great for jigging and on 4# line you can cast a very light jig a long way. Definitely a good rod to have.
