Florida Crappie Club 3rd tournament this year scheduled for
February 4th, Big & Little Lake Henderson, Inverness is being
canceled for following reasons.

LOW WATER AT PUBLIC RAMP ON HWY 44 & JUNCTION OF 41
1 launch ramp, very, very shallow, 2nd ramp must put trailer over
stop bump by approx 3ft to float off boat from trailer.

Discussion with FWC ranger in area, says catch has dropped off
considerably, possibility of lack of rain, no real reason.
Lake was pre-fished tuesday Jan 24th, only few gills caught.
Lake prefished Thursday, Jan 26th, 2 spec's caught, 3 gills.
Lake prefished today (Saturday) with 3 boats - total catch was
2 gills, 1 tiny bass & 1 gar. Water temp was 64 - 66 degree.
Prefished, 2 boats spider rigging, 1 boat long-lining. deep water
brush piles and grass lines were checked and jigged in pads producing
nothing.

Concensenus of opinion - cancel tournament as no one has
any fun if fish are being caught, and equipment does not need
to be damaged to unload & load
