    Default Port Canaveral

    Really a bust today, no crappie at all ! ! ! !
And, we busted out on everything else, only got one legal sheepie.
However, we did cruise out to a few bouys looking for tripletail = NADA.
But, lo and behold, ran into a brown bomber, probably 25-30 lbs, we
threw everything we had at him but he wasn't interested in what we offered.
Wasn't really expecting to run into any of them, so, weren't prepared....
I'd say bomber season should be heating up in a few weeks or more.........
    That is all ............................................

Yea my buddy in Stuart has been seeing them as well. He is too busy catching sails to mess with them. He had 2 days this week with over a dozen releases. He has seen a few really large leatherbacks as well.

Yeah, 10-4 on the turtles Mike, we seen a couple too.
Was a nice morning, just a tad breezy but otherwise nice. We fished right in the rocks and out from the rocks = little fellers.
Thought that when the tide came in the bigger ones would move in, but, just didn't happen, etc.......

Hey Phantom309, have you ever sheepshead fished around the locks. My grandpa lived on Merritt Island and we use to fish the Banana River all the time for trout. Sometimes we would tie up to locks going to the port and load up on sheepshead. Your not suppose to fish at the locks but sometimes the guy working them wouldn't say anything to us.

Yeah, just poke'n fun. That's what so great bout this state, no doubt a reds, sheep's, drum, ect. rip-off drag like no speck can & test your gear for sure= full-on rush! W/specks this year I think the early season floods sent a few downstream monroe way= many good days for many others & have enjoyed their post. Harney will be slowing down this month, thinking about deep creek this afternoon, done good in february/march in the past. Well off to the big house.
