Default hwy 13 bridges at truman

Hey all,the wife and i left springpatch for a weekend in kc and We just went over the 2 bridges in 13 just south if clinton. After years of driving over these and wondering about the water around there. To me it looks really shallow? Is.there any fishing done around.there. is so is it safe to take a boat out or are there any ramps? Alot of questions here. Just looking for basic info. It seem the place to be in April and may possibly don't know though.

    Tom

Good fishing on the Grand that is the North Bridge, it is a little tough getting around as it is shallow in some spots, need to learn where and where not to go. Boat ramp is between two bridges on the east side, Sparrow Foot.

There is a ramp south of the Southern bridge. If you turn East at the Deepwater turn off instead of West and going into Deepwater. The water there is shallow. Very shallow at times

Great fishing up there but you better know the area because there is alot of shallow water up that far on the Grand arm even some old railroad tracks under water!

Greetings Tom. That is the best area of Truman lake if you know it. Sparrowfoot is Corps of Engineers area-campground, boatramp. Private camping area just outside of the Corps campground entrance with full hook ups. Tough area to navigate, lots of shallow water, stumps and the famous rail road track across the middle of the lake. Depends on your boat. If you got a runabout or ski boat, not a good area. If you got a jon and a stainless prop you can do it. If you got a GPS that loads the lake map, you are in luck. Great bunch of people in the campground, they are regulars and all know each other. Hello Ann and Milo and Roger too! Most of the people in Sparrowfoot campground are catfishing, best area of the lake for throwing jugs. Swing in the campground and ask some questions, GREAT bunch of people around there.
