Default Just Ordered a Porta Bote

Was at the Richmond Fishing Expo for a few hours and had been looking to buy something to get out on the lake that I could keep in my apartment. Anybody ever use one of these? I talked to a few different people at the expo and they all seemed to love it.

I got a 10fter with oars and shipping included for $1799. I should get it in a week or 2. It was either that or buy 2 kayaks and this takes up less room.

Keep us posted. I'm thinking about getting a 14' porta-bote. This way I can take it with our camper.

This is not a 14 footer and not sure where you are in Nebraska but this one may be close enough you might want to check it out.

Yeah but it would be a lot tougher to give them a ride.

Took the Porta Bote out Saturday rowed around for about 4 hours didnt do much fishing as I was playing with my depth finder also. I would say that it rowed kind of slow with 2 180lb men in it, of course some of it was my buddies fault for not sitting in the front cause he was being a nancy thinking we were gonna sink. Will hopefully do another run tomorrow. First impression Id rather have a regular boat it I had a place to keep it but this will serve me well in the meantime. I think a trolling motor would do wonders for it and for an extra 10lbs I would go for the 12 footer if I had someone to go with all the time.

I have a 12' porta bote and I love it! It is very stable and will not sink. I have made a few mods such as a platform, rod holders, and fishing seats and I love it. I would highly recomend it.Name: 1002111418c.jpg
