How many of yall ever used a two hook rig such as the KY rig or capps and coleman rig and caught 2 crappie at a time on them? I was fishing on Lake Norman and caught 2 15 in slabs on one rig at the same time. I was told to stop fishing by the skunked captain of the boat after that incident.

I do use it quite a bit when I spider rig. I could only wish to ever get two bigguns on at the same time!!! I would've stopped fishing and went to the nearest craps table!

I have a friend that went with me years ago fishing for crappie on a lake that had a 15 fish limit and he caught two crappie 7 times in a row. Craziest thing I've ever seen and he had limit really quick.

I have watched my dad do it a few times with some nice keepers but never any 15 inch fish. Congrats on that one.

I just did it last week on Lake Blackshear in south Georgia. What was so great about it that I had a reporter from a statewide magazine with me. He is doing a feature article coming out in the MArch issue of Georgia Outdoor News. I haven't done it much but was great to do it with him in the boat.

I mostly single rig fish but I would have hit the gps for a waypoint before I got too far from that spot. That would have made me happy.

I've never fished with two jigs, but I did catch two fish on the same bait once. I was bobber fishing from the dock. I had caught a couple of perch that morning. I saw the bobber go down so I set the hook. It felt like a small perch or medium bluegill. I kept the drag kind of light just to have a little fun. All of a sudden line starts peeling off the reel and heading fast to the middle of the lake, so I tightened up the drag a bit.

When I finally got it back to the dock I could see the fish just below the waterline. A 30+" northern pike had bitten my 7" perch and wasn't going to let go. The pike wasn't hooked; he just had his teeth in the perch. He finally let go when I got his head a couple inches out of the water.

The next day a friend of mine nearly lost a whole stringer full of perch when a northern tried to take one of them.

had it happen a couple times, but the fish were only 10.5 - 11 inchers. I usually work two rods when I'm anchored 1 for casting and a long rod in a holder off the side. When I got the doubles, it was on the one in the rod holder, had a 1/8 oz tube jig at the end and a 1/32oz tube about a foot up.

That was cool, but even cooler was a time I was long-line trolling and didn't realize I had hooked a tiny perch until... I got a bigger hit and reeled this in:

longlining it can happen a couple times a year for me, one might be a keeper but not huge, the other is usually a dink. Makes you think you got a HOSS on there, but still is always nice to get a double.

Last winter about this time of year, I was catching them two at a time on a tower here in Oklahoma. In fact the first time I went I stripped the gears of my zebco 33, had to use bass rigs from that point on to reel up the big slabs that I was catching two at a time.
