    Default Tarpon Bait

No, I'm not trying to catch Tarpon. I'm wondering if anyone knows where to buy minnows close to Lake Tarpon?
Am trying to go there this week and would be thankful for any pointers from real fisher persons.
I know I don't need minnies but I'm old and set in my ways. There are so many jigs and such that I get confused about what to use
    that I just give up.

Anderson Park off highway 19 right at Tarpon Spring City Limits sign heading north
    is open 24 - 7............

Brooker Park of East Lake road opens at 7 am with electronic gate.....................

If you comming from the East on the Tampa side - Bills Bait Shop off 92 & I-44
    Seffner is open from 5:30 am on.............minnows are 5.60 1/4 lb & 10.97 1/2 lb
    9806 us hwy 92 east 813 621-4237

    Cody's bait & tackle 9735 W. Hillsborogh Ave (West of Memorial hwy light & hillsborogh.....opens 5 am..................

Comming from plant City, STOP AT BILL'S BAIT SHOP ON 92 AND I -4............

    Best place to buy minnows................
see Lynn and tell i sent you Harold McGhee

    9806 US hWY 92 East. 813 621-4237

Cody's is ok but expensive..........yea ha big time...........
I-4 west to Seffner exit, turn left (south) to hwy 92 (first light) turn right and
stay on 92 about 2 1/2 miles on right......probably approx 1 1/2 miles after you
go under I-75 overpass. After getting bait continue west on 92 and you will
come right back up on I-4 West towards origianal destination.

Know right where it is. Bought minnows there last time I went to Tarpon. Will stop by there in the morning. I'm a glutton for punishment I guess. Gonna try again tomarrow.
    Thanks for the tip.
