Default Need Ideas On Horizontal Rod Racks

I need to improve my rod storage on my boat. I'm using some Berkley one on my uprights to the rails but they don't do that well because the foam in them doesn't like the larger bases on 12-14' poles What I want to build would hold about 2 rods side by side in 4 racks. If anyone has built anything similar to that I would appreciate ideas or pictures. I did a search and didn't come up with many pics.
Here's a picture of my boat and I want to build them inside the uprights where the others are now and not be higher then the rail. I hope I made sense and thanks for any help.

looks like you have a lot of aluminum there to work with. (rails, and rod holder racks). give me a call and I can build you anything you want out of aluminum. Then you can have it welded on or I can make it where it bolts on. That way you can get exactly what you want. If I can help ya, let me know

How about attaching velcro straps to uprights with screws and washers?

I only fish on days of the week that end with
a "Y" ...and then, only if it's raining or not.

what about some of those rubber covered hooks from HD or Lowes that look like oversized coffee cup hooks, mount those on the railing uprights and some bungee cords to hold the rods in place, just a quick off the wall thought.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Thanks "G" That's along the idea I was looking for but I want some one sided so they will mount inside my uprights.
