i tried sending a pm to a guy referring to him about another website. but when he recieved the pm. the web address was edited and these(**********) where in its place. and i tried it again. n they did the same thing. what the heck????? were they editing it because i was referring to another crappie website?

I'd more likely guess it is to prevent PM spam, but I don't know for sure. Just type the word dot in place of the "." .

Private messaging systems are among the easiest things for spammers to hack. As a second line of defense, most systems delete any web links that are included in a message. That way, you might get a hacked message but it can't include a malware link.
