    Question Fishing with 2 jigs

Trying to learn how to fish with 2 jigs without the top one breaking off. I use lead head jigs 16th or 8th ounce. This setup is used mostly for casting in a river. I tie the bottom one on like u always would. Then cut some line off a spool and tie the other one to the top.

Is the knot not good? I practiced over the winter since then no break offs:D
    Should i use a 3 way swivel?
That seems like that would be alot of trouble to make three ties. But if it gives me a better connection then i would go that way. What do u think?

What I do is tie a big loop knot at the bottom and then cut the line
about 1/4 of the way down one side. Tie a jig on each of the loose ends.
    shouldn't break off.

They also make some little plastic connector you could use on the
the top one and they wouldn't break off. The next time I see one of the connectors I will get the manufacturer name and let yo know..

    Hope this is some help

I just tie the top one like you would if you were tieing a single jig, and just leave a long tag end, then tie the bottom one. I have never had it break on me.

I agree with Pstone. Just leave a long tag end and tie the other jig 12 to 18 inches below the first one.

You can get a rig already set up at wal-mart pretty cheap.

The connectors are by Bear Paw and called lure leader connectors. They
work real well. I keep a package in my tackle.

Just tie on the bottom jig like normal, go up about 12-18" and use a palomar knot to tie the second jig. It will ride perfect and will be stronger than the knot on the bottom jig.
