8 lbs. 04.3 oz.

4th: John & JJ Hill
8 lbs. 03.0 oz.

Lake Griffin was lake of choice by almost
entire field of entries.

Majority of entries fished around Piciola Point and at one time
56 boats were counted in this area of lake, all looking for Ole
Mr. Crappie (Spec.) Winners were using a combination of
of Deep-South & Wally Marshall rods and most were working
with Ron's Zip Jigs along with various styles of Ice Jigs made by
John Hill (Crappie Hooker Ice Jigs) & Tim Eberly (Just Jiggin Ice
Jigs) Yellow - Reds - Hot Pink were the colors of the day, tipped
with minnows.

Calm water prevailed almost all day with hardly no wind or water
ripple. Most entries fished deep water (17 - 19ft) as most of
larger fish were taken from 17 - 18 ft down on bottom. Surface
termp of 52 degrees warming to 57.2 by 1 pm
