    Default which upgrade first?

I want to make a upgrade to my boat this year. I have to choose one, minnkota's i pilot, high end humminbird(800,900,or 1100 series), or a motor upgrade from a 40hp to a 90hp. Which one would you guys pick first or which is best to pick out of the three? P.S.- I fish for bass, crappie, and catfish. I have a 16ft deep v with a 40hp motor and a humminbrid 587ci. The max hp i can go is 90hp.The smallest lake i fish is 300 acres. The largest is lake michigan.

You could afford the TM and electronics for the price of a motor! More motor means you pass over more fish... Slow it down and look around seems to be the wiser choice. You're right on...Minn Kota is the only TM.

Motor is last on that list. The other two are close to tie, but electronics at the level you want to go are a sure bet to putting more fish in the boat. If you can live with the TM you have now, then you have my answer.

If you are fishing lake Michigan, sell the whole rig and get a bigger boat!
