What is everyone's go to start off jig color.what is the color or color combo yall reach for first.I know the fish determine what to use but everyone has one they reach for first or one that has done the best through the years.just wondering how similar different areas are to others.

Chartreuse Pepper beetle body and chartreuse jig head - or Cotton Candy (Bright Bumble gum color with green and purple flake beetle body) with flourescent pink head.

I longline and fish stained water whenever I can find it. My best year round color would be a blue/black body with chart tail in a Southern Pro hotgrub on a 1/16th jighead.

Something with chartreuse in it.
Used to be 98% of the time was Rocky Top black & chartreuse
Now migrating to LFT in a variety of Chartreuse colors - I'm likin' that Bluegrass!
There was only 2 left at BPS, so somebody else is too.

Each lake is a different color or combination of colors. After you fish them awhile you get to know which jig and color works best on each. EB generally something with Chartruese in it tho.

Sunny - orange/chart or orange/white

Cloudy - black/chart

Usually give these a try before digging through everything else.

Yeah so far we have covered the northeast southeast and Midwest .chartruese is the common denominator .
