Hadn't thought about that in years CP. Cut my reading teeth on that paper. You right our society today. Needs a real dose of that kind of info and a lot of other things the way they were then.
Remember the Grit weekly newspaper? History needs a repeat real bad.
Grit creed
Always keep Grit from being pessimistic. Avoid printing those things which distort the minds of readers or make them feel at odds with the world. Avoid showing the wrong side of things, or making people feel discontented. Do nothing that will encourage fear, worry, or temptation... Wherever possible, suggest peace and good will toward men. Give our readers courage and strength for their daily tasks. Put happy thoughts, cheer, and contentment into their hearts.

May God be with you. Keep CALM and STAY ANCHORED with your faith.
We have a small publish here in our county called " Goods News", nothing but good news in it. A nice change for once. You know how Memphis and surrounding areas are. All we get to hear is the bad news. Rarely do I watch local news anymore.
I haven't seen the Good News in sometime now.
True Grit? must have been way before my time
You have to be willing to look for the good in every situation Pox. It is there if you look. People are just looking for the bad anymore and forgetting to look for the good. It is to easy to just go with the flo and complain about what is wrong with things instead of looking for what is right and building on that. Comprimise is a forgotton commodity anymore. EB
