    Default Enid Crappie

I got to Enid Monday the 17th. I fished hard all day and only came up with 8 keepers. Tuesday morning I fished the shallows again and caught 6 more keepers by noon. Tuesday afternoon, just for fun, I trolled Bandit 200s. BINGO!!!. The fish were in 12 to 18 feet of water and stacked in like cord wood. I could hardly keep up with 2 poles. In about 2 hours, I caught 17 keepers not including at least that many short fish I threw back. Wednesday morning, I went back to the Bandits and had my limit by noon. Good thing to because I had to leave for home by noon or 1 o'clock. The hot Bandits were chrome with black back and chrome with blue back. To sweeten the setup, I tied a 12 to 15 inch leader on the back hook of each crankbait and put a 2" Slider jig. Watermellon with chartruse tail out caught every other color 3 to 1. Here are some I caught the last morning.

I'm sure it has already been discussed, but how exactly do you troll those Bandits???? Behind the boat?

Hey pstone, I use 6'6 to 7 foot medium action rods with 10 lb line and a snap swivel. Just throw them out 30 to 40 yards behind the boat and troll at 1.6 to 1.8 mph. You can see the Bandit working because the rod tip is vibrating. When you get a fish on, it starts jerking and bending, a hint, I stop the boat when I get a fish on to keep from ripping the hooks out and reel them in slowly.

Also set your drag so light that its just holding the lure while trolling. If you get a big fish or a big stump , you wont break your line or pole.

Did most of them hit the bandit or the slider?

Thanks speckhunter. I already have the pole for bass fishing, and already have the bandits for bas fishing, so, all I need is another rod holder and I'm set. Thanks man!

Will 12 pound line work OK? Thats what is already on the reels.

I think 12 would work fine they might not dive quite as deep but the difference probably wont be noticeable.
