    Default Temp ?

New at crappie fishing, getting hooked though. I'm in North Carolina, I realize the bite will slow down at some temp. What would be lowest temp to try for crappie?

You can catch crappie year round. Check out the Ice Forum. If they'll bite under 3' feet of ice, they'll definitely bite the rest of the time.

The real question is not "how cold does it have to be before the crappie stop biting". It's "how cold does it have to be before you'd just rather stay home".
