    Default xmas at bucksaw

I haven't posted many fishing trips lately because.....well......we haven't been fishing much. Decided to giver a go today and did ok.......didn't tear em up but had fun and caught enough to keep us interested. Fished from 1230 to 430 or so and maybe caught 25 total and kept 10 or 12........couple of guys at the ramp said they hadn't caught hardly any so we gave them ours. Fished the bluffs across from the marina for a couple of hours and then hit the bluffs right before you get to cedar.......did much better across from the marina. First tree we pulled up to we caught 3 in just a couple of minutes......then it was hit and miss for the rest of the day. Found some trees and brush that looked like they held a bunch of fish but we just couldn't seem to catch more than one or two. Oh well, no matter, at least we were out on a heckuva nice day.......little wind and nice temps for late december, water was 41-42 deg. Found best numbers in deeper water, 30-40 fow, and prolly did best about 12-15 feet down. Fished white over chart, blue over chart, and pink over chart......no difference that I could tell. No great size, just eaters. I'm off all week so hope to hit LOZ and maybe another day on Truman if the weather holds.

    Good fishing all.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
