Default 2011-12 Spawn Predictions for Central FL

Is this a pretty mild winter for us? Anybody have any idea about how this weather will affect the fish coming in shallow to spawn? Will they come earlier or later? Just curious to what you guys think...

    Hey Luke.
I believe that the first round of fish to go to the hill have already been there. The fish that Kissimmee Kowboy
and I caught the first of Nov. were loaded with eggs. That was in front of the full moon. I figured they would be on the hill on the new moon. The fish caught this weekend were already layed out with the exception of a few. I believe there will be a
wave of them moving up from now until possibly Feb. Just according to the weather.

That is very interesting...thanks for your insight. Where do you think is a good place to find a spawning crappie on Monroe? Or do you think spider and longlining is the best way to get em on Monroe. I sure am feeling a little jiggy. Would prefer to catch some fish on wood or pads or something.
