Well it took a long time but the water is about to cool off. Last week in Dead Lake the Crappie were on the brush tops, and really doing good on small red head jigs with white or pale green skirts, had a dozen in the large class. thanks and good fishing Merry Christmas to all

Welcome from Middle Tennessee. I'm a transplant from Central FL, used to fish the St. Johns around Deland. Water temps hovering around 50 here and I've had my best year ever recently. Good luck to you, check out Lake Woodruff when you get bored sometime.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
We used to fish the St John's River up between Orlando and Cocoa. We would use Rat-L-Traps to troll for them. 10-4 on Woodruff. C2
The water temp in Crescent is was 63 this past weekend. The fish we caught had some roe in em but not much. Last year we caught em spawning in Mid January in Crescent but i think this year it will be about a month behind. This time last year the water temp was in the high 50's.
