    Default Crappie Weather today

    Hello All!

It was to nice to take a day off from duck hunt today (although I am told it was a great day for all that went) so HV, one of his buddies was nice enought to let me tag along with them out to Melvern this AM. Put the full report including jigs, depths and everything on the outdoorsman but wanted to give a quick report here.

Bite was fair, nothing barn burner. Wind got stronger as the moring went and make it harder to fish. Ended the day with about 25 keeper and no real pigs. Sad note was we pulled a limb out of the water in 17ft and it had 20+ zebra mussels on it. Going to be intersting.

Sounds like a fun day. I hear you on the ducks though as I heard it was a good day for them as well. I'm heading to Melvern in the am to try the docks since I'm boatless. Thanks for the report.

Hey Wantabe, it was a decent little day trip to the docks yesterday. Didn't catch high numbers of keepers, but caught plenty of fish. I fished from 7-5 and ended up with 5 keepers. I lost 4-5 keepers at the surface. I never did try inside the dock, just stayed outside. Had the place all to myself with the way the weather was. My second time fishing there and all in all a fun day. Good luck if you head there tomorrow.
