    Default Blind rivets?

Has anyone used blind rivets instead of well nuts? From the looks of them it appears they would work better in aluminum than a well nut. Well nuts work fine in wood or glass but I don't have that option this time.

    Default yes

Blind rivets are used in aircraft all the time. This includes areas of the outer skin that is susceptable to high pressure at 35k feet. A good sealer between the two pieces of Aluminum, some blind rivets and you're set. BTW, What's a well nut?

If you do, use a quality rivet. Some are very tough, some are cheap.

Wilbur, have you used those before? How well do they hold up in aluminum?

Thanks, I assume you just put a bolt in it and tighten until it expands.

BB they work excellant, just make sure you get the right Grip Range. I bought the hand tool to install them it was 6.15 for the 10/24 size they are on page 2087. I also used the knurled ones in steel
