    Default Truman 12/11 Grand Arm

Launched from Long Shoal. We were the only boat at the ramp. In the morning it was 27. Water temps 46. It started out slow. Went to the area that produced a month ago nothing. We moved around all day until we located fish. Finally located a few fish in the mouth of a creek. All fish came in a 30-40 fow about ~15-20' down. Vertical jigging dropping it down 12-15' holding it for a few second and then would let a few more feet of line out until they hit it. Other we caught by casting it out and keep a tight line back to the boat. It didnt seem to matter once you found them. After 2-3h of struggling in the morning we caught a limit in a couple hours. One 9.5" all other were solid 10.5"+ fish. Transparent jigs tipped with chartruse crappie bites worked best. It was a great day on the water with no wind which really helped catching the light biters. Most of the fish had eggs. I hope this helps someone.

Thanks guys. It was a great day! It wasn't cold on the water because we were out of the wind. Other reports made by people on CDC the last couple weeks really motivated me to get back out to Truman. I love that lake.

One of the best there is this time of year for fast limits of big fish. Good job.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
