I bought one of these used...in the 90's. Great boat to slide in and out of the back of the truck and hit all the small TM only lakes around. Didn't do much to mine however...didn't want to add a lot of weight. If you have your's on a trailer...that may be a different story. About the only thing I did was replace the flimsy plastic top side on the front and back with some 3/4 treated plywood, covered in carpet, and also made a bunch of 1x2 " cedar treads I screwed into the aluminum bracing tubes all along the floor to walk on. Since I didn't buy the boat new...not sure about the original seating and what the previous owner did...however I've changed mine a couple of times to get the height right for me. I've put way more fish in the freezer with that boat over the years than my big boat. It is also nice to fish in the quiet of a TM only lake. No water skiers running over your line, LOL.

I got a Wal Mart padded plastic folding seat aft now. Crappiestalker gave me a seat post. It worked out good. far as I got so far.. That 40# thrust MK really scoots this little rig. Refurb from Cabelas,, 100 bucks.........

I got rid of the plastic seat posts.

Well CP I decided to use galv angle iron for cross member and mount my seats on it. I like setting high 12 inches on this boat seems about right. don't think it's tippy??Thanks for the help. And Duckhunter Give Me A Break.
