Default not to bad of a day on stockton

We ended up with 11 keepers, all nice and fat, all over 12 in long, (really).

    water was 45dg.
    jig any color
    depth 17 to 21 ft
    wind bad
    sun good
drop to bottom, raise up a bit, then let stand as still as possible, rod tip would load up and all you had to do was set the hook,,, lots of throw backs, anything under 11 in went back. only kept the good eaters, Darrell said, don't you want any of these, naw,,, you take em, you look hungry, I did keep the biggest for sharon to bake for me. pretty good day, got to the lake at 10 wind ran us off at 1 well it will get colder and maby the wind will lay, love winter fishing, but hate the wind..... oh well hand warmers and toe warmers ole beagle was pretty happy

Sounds like a good time on the water. Love those cold mornings when the fishing is good enough to warm you up. A buddy came by while ago with a nice limit he caught walking the bank here on Truman. He was tipping with a minnow. Big was 1 lb 9 oz and had several others around 1 1/4. Will be joining him in the morning. He seen some pigs close to two lbs caught right in front of him by a boat fishing the other side of the secret brushpile. They were caught on jigs by the best jig fisherman on the lake and maybe the country. Hope for a repeat in the morning.

Very nice load of fish........been so long since I caught one I almost forget what the thump feels like. Congrats on a cold but obviously productive day.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
