Default Using Fly Fishing Jigs on an Ultra Light Spinning Reel ?

The other day I was at my local pond at around dusk while the bass were charging bugs on top of the water. All the fish in this pond seem to prefer small baits an at the time I had nothing for top water that was small enough.

Today I picked up the smallest buzzbait I could find at BassPro shop which wasn't as small as I was looking for. It was 1/8oz and I would like to go as small as 1/16oz.

I got home and am on the net looking for other alternatives and was looking at floating flies for flyfishing.

Has anyone used these floating jigs for panfish and bass with a light spinning reel?

    Default Frequently for bluegill

You'll need to use a casting bubble so you can get the fly out some distance. I've pick up bass that way, too. - Roberta
