winter fishing

Anyone ever fish Thomas Hill or Mingo Swamp in the winter? If so got any advice.

i fish t.hill every winter after twain freezes over. i fish the brush piles that are marked by signs on the bank. good luck

Fished it last year put in at the warm water ramp area fished that cove did not do bad could not go up by the warm water discharge too shallow for my boat. But am planning a return trip in mid Jan. I think we came back with 10-12 crappies did not see anyone catch or catch any of the hybreds.

Can't wait to try it. Just have to get my brother or buddy to go, which ever one has the will power to fish with me in those conditions.
