Well sorry to say I did not make it out yesterday do to the wifes vehical broke down. Got it taken care ofafter replacing the coil rail(doesn't have plug wires) that cost $115.00Doh. So next weekend know matter the weather I will be there and have a way better reportThumbs Up.

Welcome aboard. Car care stinks, not only the wifes car but I have a couple teenagers that keep me there also. Not to mention that I can't miss a deer anymore, I've bagged 3 "road hunting" this year. I hope you get there soon, it's been a good year for me and I find myself itching to constantly go.

Put the "deer whistles" on all you vehicles, immediatley, when you purchase them. Between my wife, our kids, and I, we have probably ran 2 million miles, and never hit a deer. Seen plenty, and many being fairly close. Then just stop in their tracks, or quickyy get out of your path. But, I can't say that they work!!!

I've never tried them, my brother put them on his truck and 2 days later he totaled his truck on a deer banghead They keep hopping out when I'm pulling and the swervings a . I'm gonna mount a cattle-catcher off of a locomotive . Maybe a 20mm and plenty of washer fluid :D

I was tempted to get a deer whistle a few years ago after I smacked one going to Perry one morning. After an internet search I saw where the Ohio State Police had done a study with them and found that they didn't help prevent and that the study showed a slight increase in incidents with the use of the whistles.

I have driven a whole lot of miles both with and without those stupid whistles and I am convinced that the only thing they do effectively is remove money from my wallet!
