Anyone want to put their 2 cents in on why some of these blacks have a black line down their back to their nose? I've heard different ideas what do u think?

All I can tell ya is theyre blacknose crappie...a stocked hybrid. (Although we dont have 'em so I've never caught any....just what I've read on CDC many times.:rolleyes

Strange that, we catch alot of black nose crappie here, but the black line runs from upper lip to approximately the dorsil fin...never saw one marked like that.

A fine bunch of fish for sure..!
