Ive just now gotten comfortable reducing my arsenal on the boat, I usually Cast or spiderrig (Whether tightlining or dragging corks) but also Longline and Vertical jig so needless to say I keep ALOT of rods in my boat:o Just thinned the heard, eliminated three rods, down to..

    4-14 Ft Telescopic canepoles
    4-13 Ft Telescopic canepoles
2-12 Ft WM Tightline Specials (for tightlining 1 Oz)
2-9 Ft WM Crappie Thunders (For 1/2 oz tightlining or Vertical Jigging 1/16-1/8)
6Ft UL (keep rigged with 1/16 BGBS)
    5'6" UL (1/16 roadrunner)
6'6" ML (Slipbobber or Bottom Bouncer Rig)

SOOOOOO.... How many Fishing rods is in your Boat???

I think you have my same setup. Except I have 4 10 footer vs 2 12, I am enjoying the cane poles. I love the 10' telescopic poles so light and ez to pickup and move. As you mover around a body of water you must have all that stuff or you will miss it. I reduced down to 2 casting poles. That was tough. I did not even cast a pole this weekend.

i favor my thirteens, because they are light, and still gives me plenty of slack ontop of the bobber and still let me fish relatively deep....anything over 9-10ft deep and i switch to tightlining, unless heavy wind then i tightline regardless. drifting the river i get less snags using canepoles and corks because the hook bounces over snags where as tightlining always gets hung, guessing the weight sets the hook in deep....but lately ive been casting jigs mostly, feels more rewarding to me lol. thanks for the reply, was hoping i wasnt the only one toting all this gear around the lake lol

    This time of year....
    3 - 4 1/2 ft'ers ( 2 tightline, 1 casting)
    1 5fter
    2 3ft'er (pink barbie poles)

same way I fished at JimB pond. Seems now the only time I break out the long poles is the spring when the water is less than 10 ft.
