    Default Landed Some Ice Cold Crappie Today/Pics


    It was a real nice late fall day here in Maine. A friend and i went for a trip to one of our favorite lakes. We had some snow last Wensday and the nights have been chilly. We got to the lake and found ice at the launch. We shouveled the snow and on the ramp and got the boat of the tyrailer and started breaking the ice. The fishing was slow but steady. it was so nice. We landed 35 crappie. great day.

    Those sure are beautiful looking crappie.. May I ask in that first pict what is that board looks like a 1x2? sticking out for?

    That board is for the holding the transducer from the Vexilar flasher.Front one is mounted to the trolling motor.

    Man, I love seeing pictures of those northern black crappie. We don't get em colored out like that very much down here. Congrats on a good day.
