I don't think the color matters. I've caught crappie on every color nibble. Like barrelslime said, you inject the nibble into the center of a hollow jig. This keeps it from falling off or dissolving too fast. Doesn't work on solid jigs, though. For those, just leave the lid off the jar until the nibbles turn kinda rubbery. Then they stay on the hook a lot better.
Don't worry, catch crappie.

I bought one of those little injectors at walmart and it works ok but it seems like it is just another piece of equipment to deal with... Do you guys who use this system think it works better than just hanging the nibblets on the hook?
Use different colors inside your translucent tubes. It makes em look like solid colors.
Flecs are great in the tube because as they leech out them sparkles can be attributed to a dieing minnow that has been attacked by a perch or bluegill.
Red is good in white body tubes. Green is good in brown and yellow tubes.
Make sure to cut two small holes in the sides to let it ooooze out.
