    Default No tournament fish but

caught 9 at cc today between the ramp and the bridge.7 other boats there mostly from Ash Grove. And 3 guys on the bank.I saw everyone catch fish but don't know how many.Blue/white slab slayer was the ticket for me.Started at 12 o'clock and quit at 3 pm.Water was dingy, drop to the bottom and slowly reel up.The biggest were right on the bottom.About half of them were full of eggs, don't know if that is normal or not.Water temp was 52.4 deg, taken just north of the ramp.Name: 11-17 crappie.jpg

Sounds like a fun afternoon. Sure beats being at work like I was. Off tommorow and the rest of the weekend and they are calling for some horrible winds and gust up to 40 the next couple days.

Nice batch of fish, congrats. Its normal for many species to develope their eggs in the fall, they carry them for many months before the eggs are mature and ready to be dropped. Not sure about catfish but I know Bass, crappie, walleye, and bluegill all begin developing eggs at some point in the fall.

Good job Arky sounds like a fun day.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
