73586 15 1/2 in. caught on brushpile, have several 12-15 in. off this pile. Catch very few small fish here. But after i catch 5-10 they move off ,takes a day for them to come back.

I have 8 that i have kept built up since 1973. the lake is a small city lake. I have never seen anyone on them in all this time ,but its a pain to fish in the summer because of ski traffic. A buddy caught a 4lb. 2oz. off the one that i catch the biggest ones on.

Might be catching most that are there at that time. Here I fish a brushpiles for several days and the catch drops lower everyday most of the time. Was that Cat a Flathead? They are big Crappie predators and also fine eating.

Agree they will come back unless it distorted your brush pile. That is a really nice crappie!

Good fish, and I'll bet the cat twisted up a crappie rod. I had a cat on that I never even turned and caught no crappie afterwards on that day. They were back in full force the next visit.
