    Default Melvern 11-11

Started at dawns early light. Hit piles that I have caught fish on in 20 to 10 ft of water. Had 5 keeps at 8. All fish biting really light nothing aggressive. Thought I would try a dock fishing tecq. that works when fish are not aggressive. I rigged a small gray hair jig(small being 1/48 oz) above a 1/8 oz jig head with the hook snipped of. Hit piles in 12 to 10 fow. Ended up with 16 quit at 1130. No really big fish but hey nice day if you got out of the wind.

Not the most fun way to fish but it worked to catch a few. I quit at 1130 as I could not buy a bite after 1100 and the wind came up.Hands Clapping

Atleast you did catch some fish and brought home a good mess. Congrats.

I just came up with it out of desperation. When I fish the docks I use a little hand tied gray jig for slow periods and it is effective. I guess a Kentuck rig with the jig would be about the same.

Maybe they will bunch up tighter and gorge themselves once the water dips below 40 degrees.
