    Default Fishing live minnows

Hey. has anybody got any special techniques for rigging live minnows. I know that certain ways are applied to trigger slow bites. Any feedback on what works for you. I have rigged them about as many ways as possible. ( I think?) Anyone have anything special.

    Thanks.

I use a dropper loop rig . I use stren flouro , make loops 18 to 20in apart. only make the loops loops no longer than the hook. I use #1 owner worm hooks #5100-101 . Then use a 3/4oz bell weight 1ft from bottom hook. When you tighten the loops they will have a curve to them , put hook on them so it hangs down . Good Luck .

I use 6# line with a #1 gold hook on line and a small split shot about 6 or 8" above the hook. Hook the minnow through the eyes so when it swims the hook lays back along it's side. The minnow has that line between the hook and sinker to swim around with and Mr. Crappie can't pass it up and since the crappie swallows the minnow head first, the hook goes in first. Good luck
