I'm in Tennessee and there's a full moon tonight. I thought about going crappie fishing after work....the water's 61 degrees right now. Does anyone know what effect the full moon has on crappie during the "spawning season?"

Not Good---3 Tater Chips
I have never done well when the moon is full, but I always try to remain optimistic. Went today with the information that a major feeding period was from 12:24 PM to 2:10PM. I got out on the lake at daylight just in case the crappie had not seen the feeding schedule, but the results for seven hours of fishing were six fish, with only two of them knowing when the best time to eat was.
Since I am recently retired, I go fishing nearly every day, but I think I will stay off the lake till the full moon is well past.
I was fishing this morning around 5:30 and the moon was about to set. I was getting bites left and right. The bite around here now slows way down by 8:30 am. I took home about 14 fish, biggest being around 2lbs.

I launched a little after 6am today with the moon getting ready to set. Went to a spawning bank to work on taking care of getting my "slider" fix. To say the least it was a great morning and my "slider" fix was well taken care of by 7:30am.
There were no other boats in my cove and I was figuring that the bite was on lake wide and left this cove to check out other spawning banks with my slider. I caught a few at a couple other banks but not as hot as they have been in previous years and suprisingly (sp) the water temp was only 57 where as the temp in the first cove was 60 deg. The first cove was on the main lake while the second cove was further up the lake.
I came home with 16 10-11 inch crappie today so in my mind a full moon is not a detriment to catching fish.

Tuesday I caught between 40 and 50 fish . And had 16 keepers.
Wed only 8 keepers.
From what i have always heard. Full moon and out water temp of 66+ degrees and the fun is on. Yesterday a few of the fish showed wear on there tails. And all the eggs had red streaks thought them/.

I went last night from 6:30 til just after dark. I managed a bunch of yellow stripe, a 3 lb green carp, a drum, and a small hybrid. I fished every depth from 2 ft to 10 ft in a spot where I normally slay the crappie. I couldn't find a speck anywhere. It's gonna be 86 degrees in Nashville tomorrow. I'm gonna try em again tomorrow evening.

I saw a program where this guy predicted earth quakes on the earth by looking at the Moon and seeing when it was aligned with the Sun and Earth in a way that INCREASED the gravitation Pull of the Moon on the Earth.
Remember that the middle part of the earth is said to be molten rock. We know that the moon effects the oceans. So liquids are effected much more by the moons pull than solid rock. So maybe the moon does effect the lava inside the earth and thus help crack the earth and allow faults to slide past one another creating tremors or quakes.
Seems feasible to me. The guy predicted several major earth quakes in the past 20 years. He predicted the San Diego earth quake that happened during the World Series game.
