    Default 10/28 Ohio Report

I made it out to the lake early Friday morning. I was fishing my own jigs (like I always do anymore) for crappie. It’s nice not having to stick your hand in an ice cold bucket of minnows, this time of year especially. The fishing was consistent all day. The air temp was in the low 30's and the water was 55. I saw one duck hunter’s spread of decoys and that was the only person I saw until about 10:30ish. The crappie was hitting jigs hard and those sickle hooks are just the ticket. I had to weed through a lot of smaller 9" fish, but here are a few pics of the 15 that made it in the Lucky Bucket (not for the fish so much).
    See you on the water,

Nice fish NP. Are you tipping those jigs with anything? I tied some similar but dont have that kind of head. Do you sell just the painted heads? PM me.

Nice catch, do you catch both black and white crappie together or do they tend to gather up separately? I only have blacks in the lakes I fish.

Thanks for the compliments. My home lake has a majority of whites, but next year the tides may be changing. I do catch them both together, but I have witnessed that each species prefer a little different bait presentation.

I sell lots of painted and unpainted heads. I do custom sizes as well, if you need something special. PM me for details.
