    Default Black widow rods???

I could have swore i read somewhere that you can take these rods ( the expandable kind without eyelets), put eyelets on them and use them to spider rig? I cant find any particular threads in my searches here. Has anyone done this???? I would onlybe using up to a max of 1/2 ounce weights. I want to get into spider rigging but i dont want to break the bank for rods! Thanks for your help or ideas!!!!

yes you can buy the eyes that slip over the pole, but you can buy some hi-tec expandable poles already with eyes and a reel seat for less than 20bucks a peice and they are better poles than the black widow. the hi-tec are great spidderriggin poles!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at the B N M website, they sell the slip on guides as well as Bass Pro.

We bought 2 Black Widows, a 10' and a 12' no guides, no reels. I have to say we had more fun on those poles than anything I ever used. You get an 8" Bluegill on one and you think you got a shark. Too much fun...
